The Attagirls Molly Rose Pilot Scholarship needs your support to ensure that we can continue to offer PPL pilot training to current and future generations.
The scholarship is named after Molly Rose (neé Marshall), the heroine aviatrix whose incredible life story inspired the book and film Attagirls, both of which are based on her time in the Air Transport Auxiliary (‘ATA’) during World War II. Molly was not afraid to embrace any challenge and she achieved her pilot's licence whilst still a teenager. We hope that Molly's story will inspire other young women to learn how to become a pilot and our scholarship provides the opportunity to take the first step.
The inaugural year (2021-22) scholarship was awarded to 17-year-old Georgia Pescod, a Cambridge-based student and Air Cadet. Georgia has since enrolled in commercial flying school. The second season scholarship (2023--24) was awarded to 17-year-old Amelia Richardson from Milton Keynes, who hopes to become a flight instructor or a military pilot.
We are now raising funding for the 2025-26 AMRPS via JustGiving. (Link below)
By joining our close community of supporters, you will contribute to our mission to ensure that this scholarship continues long into the future, offering other young girls the opportunity to step onto the aviation career ladder, and to change the female-to-male ratio in a profession which is currently male-dominated.
